Temptation and Vermin

A plot of ground may be outwardly verdant with grass and decorated with flowers. Worms and other insects take up their habitation under the surface of the earth. Take a spade in your hand and turn up the mold, and you soon have a sample of the vermin that lurk beneath. Temptation is the spade which breaks up the ground of a believer's heart, and helps to discover the corruption of his nature.--Anon
