Rev. Richard Cecil said to one of his parishioners, who had previously asked for counsel, and whom he had not seen for some time: "I understand you are very dangerously situated."

"I am not aware of it," was the reply.

"I hear you are getting rich," said Mr. Cecil; "Take care, for it is the road by which the devil leads thousands to destruction."
